“ We went here for National Margarita Day for the first time. The margaritas were fresh and delicious. We ordered the molcajete, and it was enough for two. It wasn’t very busy, but we waited a while in between ordering more drinks and getting the bill. I recommend this place, and we will be back! ”

The horchata, homemade tortilla chips, and salsa? Straight fire. This spot just became my new go-to. It’s also beyond fairly priced for what you get and the quality. If you’re anywhere near the Midway Theater, do yourself a favor and check them out next door. Forget the food trucks and those other spots, this place is doing everything right and it shows. 10/10 ”

“ A coworker invited me to eat here. I’m always skeptical of the Authenticity of Latin cuisine growing up in a household full of Excellent cooks who were born with the gift but I gave it a shot anyway. To my surprise the food was very tasty I ordered the enchiladas Mexico made differently from the way my Mama used to make them but still had good flavor and the shredded chicken was not dry. I didn’t care too much for the flan it was okay but the Chelada with corona beer was very good as well. Overall the food is very good the customer service is top notch the restaurant itself is very clean and although in kind of a sketchy part of Rockford due to the liquor store next door it’s worth either getting take out or dining in you won’t be disappointed at this restaurant. I definitely will be back again and again. ”

“ Yummy for my tummy! This food was beyond delicious and surpassed my expectations. We ordered tacos, enchiladas, Gordita’s and sopes to go. Even with the trip home, everything was super tasty. I am so glad I finally found a good restaurant in Rockford that actually tastes like authentic Mexican food. I do wish they provided more salsas, I was only provided 1 red and 1 green for the entire order, which wasn’t enough but next time I’ll ask for extra. Oh! And they also gave us chips and salsa which was cool. Will be returning and recommending. ”
“ Great tacos and plenty of space. Restaurant was recommended by a local friend as we had just moved to this city and are exploring the area. We’ve gone to various Mexican restaurants but this one had the best tasting food by far in Rockford so much so that we had to take some extra food home after dining in. There is a nearby public parking lot which makes it easy to just walk over or in my case crutch over but was very accessible friendly. Pricing was comparable to other Mexican restaurants in the area, so it was more than affordable. It also had plenty of spacing if you are looking to bring a bigger party. Atmosphere felt very authentic. Service was very friendly along with being given chips while waiting for your food which was great as they take their time making the food taste great. While their drink options are few (In regard to tequila options) they had all the basic beers you would find at any Mexican Restaurant along with margaritas. My spouse and I plan on revisiting this location many times over due to how great their tacos were. ”
